Kathy began her ministry at Rumple in March 2017. She moved across the state from Wilmington, NC where she served as an associate pastor for Education. Prior to her time in Wilmington Kathy served as co-pastor of the Faison Presbyterian Church, and associate pastor at the Davidson College Church and First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington. She was ordained  as a pastor by Coastal Carolina Presbytery in 1997.  Kathy is married to Lance Perry, who is also a pastor, currently serving as a chaplain for Caldwell Hospice. He enjoys singing in the Adult Choir at Rumple. Together they have five children (and later in 2019 a child-in-law too.) Ryan (15), Caroline (13), and Janie (11) all still live at home and are also an active part of the Rumple family.

What she likes most about winter in the High Country?
That is a tough one as there are many challenges with winter in the High Country.  But, we really enjoyed Blowing Rock WinterFest this year.  It is a really neat event.  The ice sculptures are amazing!

Favorite candy?
My favorite candy is hot tamales or anything cinnamon.
